REFLECTION

Working on both group and individual assignments gave me valuable insights into green strategies for buildings. For the first assignment, we worked in a team to conduct a site visit to a green building and analyze the passive strategies it applied. We then prepared a report, slides, and a poster comparing the ST Diamond Building in Putrajaya with the Bullitt Center in Seattle. This group task was a good experience in teamwork sharing different perspectives, dividing responsibilities, and learning how to communicate ideas clearly together. It also gave me a deeper understanding of how different contexts, climates, and design priorities shape the way sustainable strategies are applied.

The second assignment shifted to an individual focus, where I had to produce a write-up and report slides integrated with Architectural Design 4. This required me to apply what I had learned to my own structure, which was both challenging and rewarding. It was a chance to not just study strategies but also test how they could be adapted into my own design decisions, making the learning process much more personal and practical.

Overall, both assignments were fun and meaningful. I gained a lot of knowledge, from understanding real-life applications of passive design to learning how to integrate these strategies into my own architectural projects. These experiences have strengthened my awareness of sustainability, and I plan to carry forward these lessons into my future work as an architect.
